Our loot council system is set up to allow for the fastest possible
progression. Upgrades go to those who need them most or to classes that
benefit the raid the most. Generally, upgrading those who are farthest
behind in gear will provide the most benefit to the raid. In terms of
tier gear, the tanks and healers get upgrades first because it is vital
to have properly geared tanks and healers for progression.
That being said, loot does not always go to the player who would
see the most benefit from the upgrade. Here is a list of factors that
officers and advisors consider when giving upgrades:
Gear -
If you are not making the best of your current gear with gems and
enchants that match the level of your gear, then you are not doing
everything you can to help further the raid's progression. (See the
<link>FAQ<link> for information about what gems and
enchants are expected). If you receive an upgrade, we want to see you
using the item. You are required to have the item fully gemmed and
enchanted by the next raid.
The color of your gear is also important. You can upgrade your
green and blue gear by doing heroics and buying badge items. Players
who already have those epic items can only improve their gear through
raiding. So while an epic item may be a bigger upgrade for someone in
green gear than for someone in epic gear, if your gear can be improved
outside of the raid you may be asked to get those upgrades first.
Attendance -
Giving upgrades to players who do not show up for progression nights
does not help raid progression. Players with poor attendance are less
likely to receive upgrades, even if it is the largest upgrade for them.
Attitude -
Your attitude during the raid, as well as your attitude when you do
or do not receive loot, is very important. If you are constantly
starting arguments with officers or advisors when you do not receive an
upgrade, you will most likely not be given upgrades. It is fine to ask
why you did not receive an upgrade, but this is best done through
in-game mail or conversations during an appropriate time. It is not
acceptable to ask an officer or advisor about loot while the raid is
still going on.
Performance -
Officers and advisors use dps, damage, healing, and tps meters to
see how players are performing. Performance also includes how well you
listen during the raid, how well you play your class, and your ability
to follow instructions. Simple things like not following the dps order
or pulling aggro can get you passed over for loot.
Rank -
Players with Raider status will always get upgrades over players with Trial/Recruit or Social status.
