How to Apply to the Foot Clan:
Step 1) Ensure you know when TFC raids.
We raid Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 7:50-11:00 pm server time. (Gorefeind is an East coast server.) We hold a guild meeting at 7:30 server time on Tuesdays.
You must maintain a 75% attendance record.
Attendance is taken at 7:50PM server time and if you are not in the raid group at that time, you are considered absent that day. If you show up late, let an officer or advisor know.
b) All your gear must be gemmed with epic quality gems.
c) All your gear must be enchanted with the highest level enchant available. For example, we want +10 stats to chest over +8, Crusher over Greater Assault on gloves, Mighty Spellpower over Major Spellpower on weapons, etc.
d) You must be exalted with the Sons of Hodir and have the shoulder enchants that coincide with this. If you've never even heard of this faction, you might want to check this out.
c) You must have the following addons installed and turned on during all raids:
- Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs
- Omen
- oRA3
d) Your gear must be on par with the content we are currently raiding. For example, if you are in all Naxx gear, you won't be much help when we are trying to progress through Heroic ToC. We understand that certain pieces are hard to upgrade and we do look beyond just iLevel, but we can't be carrying recruits through content either.
Step 3) Complete an application.
Please title your application Subject in the following format: Name – Spec- Class.
Copy-paste the following, removing all content in italics when filling it out. This is essentially a résumé; treat it like one.
Name and Class: Name and class (including desired spec) of the character you are applying with.
Alts: (Optional) If you have an alt you are frequently on, mentioning it here might help us to contact you sooner.
Age and Occupation: Provide your age and your occupation (such as high school student, college student, full-time or part-time employee of ..., etc).
Computer and Latency: What Type of computer(to include ram and video memory) do you have and what is your normal latencey while playing the game. If you have any connection issues, what have you done to try to resolve the issues
Who: Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself. Our raiding environment is very close knit and we want you to be comfortable with us, and our members to be comfortable with you. We don't need a complete biography on you, but a brief description of yourself is useful.
Conflict: If you are applying with a schedule that conflicts with our raids, be sure to explain that here. Tell us when you'd miss raids and how often.
Armory: Link your Armory profile here. Discuss your current spec and make sure to note if you're willing to respec in order to suit the guild's needs. Please note: Make sure you log off in the gear you're going to raid with! Also make sure to note any separate gear sets you might have. (For example, I have a high stamina set, a high armor set, a high avoidance set, a high TPS set...you get the picture.)
Dual Spec: What is your dual spec? Talk a bit about your level of comfort playing your dual spec in a high end raid environment and about the gear you have for it. Having a dual spec you are not only skilled with but decently geared for will drastically increase your raid utility and chances to get plenty of boss time, even as a recruit. In addition, note here if you would feel comfortable playing your "Dual Spec" as a main spec, should your main spec role already be filled.
Professions/Skills: Give us your rationale behind your choice of professions. How do they contribute to your raid performance as your chosen class and spec? If your professions aren't maxed, why not?
Experience: How long you have been playing World of Warcraft - both overall and with the character you are currently applying with.
Raid Experience: What raid content have you completed? Be as clear as possible, and be sure to include any relevant "hard mode" kills - distinguish between bosses you've killed and ones you've attempted, but include both. If you have any WWS reports, feel free to share them as well.
Previous Guilds: Please note why you have left any guilds that you list here.
Why: Why do you wish to join the Foot? What can you bring to us if we open a trial spot for you?
Foot Friends: Do you know anyone here? Not personally knowing TFC members won't hurt you, but it also doesn't give you an automatic way in. What it does is provide someone to give us officers a little more insight regarding your playstyle, attitude and general skill. Think of it like a reference for a job. Also consider the fact that exchanging a sentence or two with someone doesn't constitute them "knowing" you and listing them as a "friend" without their consent probably falls into the territory of poor taste.
UI Screenshot: Please include a link to a screenshot of your UI here. This gives us an idea of the degree to which you have things keybound and the way you organize your UI in order to better facilitate raiding. A screen shot during a raid is extra helpful.
Once you've done these three things be patient and wait for feedback on your application. Make sure to check your thread and respond to any comments or questions we may have for you.

Here is an example of what a good application might look like:
Thread title: Osuna-Feral Tank Druid
Name and Class:
Osuna, feral (tank) druid
Alts and Class:
Sixfingers, blood dk tank
Age and Occupation:
21, Student.
Who:
My name is Hannah and I am a 21 year old English major from St. Paul, MN. I'm an avid computer geek and work at an IT Helpdesk where I not only fix computers but get to play WoW during downtime. I love the druid class and have enjoyed end game tanking for the past three years. I also love cats.
Conflict:
Once a month on Thursdays I attend colloquium for my major which means I will be 30 minutes to an hour late.
Armory:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Anvilmar&n=Osuna
I am a 58/13 tank. I'm currently specced into a survival/raid buffing build as I have dropped 5/5 ferocity in favor of 5/5 feral aggression for Imp Demo Roar. I also have 3/3 Infected Wounds for the 20% attack speed slow on bosses instead of the TPS oriented 2/2 master Shapeshifter. I'm willing to respec situationally to best increase our chances of success in an encounter.
Dual Spec:
I have a feral DPS offspec. I am highly comfortable playing my DS in a raid environment and make sure to keep my gear up to date with epic gems, max enchants and the best pieces I am able to procure with badges/craft/pick up in raids/retire from my tank set. However, I naturally prioritize new drops to my tank set, as it is my main spec.
Professions/Skills:
I am a 450 Lwer/Jc. The stamina self buff wrist enchant and the JC only gems can't be beat for a bear tank that gains so much from pure stats.
Experience:
I have been playing WoW for close to four years--the entire time with my druid as my main focus. I have taken the time to level alts but I have always raided with my druid.
Raid Experience:
Prior to Wrath, I tanked all BC content, from Kara to Kil'Jaeden. (My guild was working on Eredar Twins when the 3.0 massive nerf hit.)
My wrath experience includes tanking all Tier 7 content (including 6 minute Maly and Sarth 3 drakes-25 and 10), all Tier 8 content (including successful 25 man Xt, IC, Freya, Thorim, General HM kills, the entire 10 man Glory of the Ulduar Raider meta achievement and 10 man Algalon), and all regular 25 man Tier 9 content, ToC 25man HM up to Faction champs and 5/5 10 man ToC HM, including the 10 man Tribute to Skill achievement.
I have also tanked various encounters, both 10 and 25 on my Death Knight, successfully completing all but One Light in the Darkness for my 10 man Glory of the Ulduar Raider meta achievment.
Previous Guilds:
Rising Tide-Grital (Uldum server). My GM had a falling out with our MT and in an apparent a fit of rage, disbanded the guild and transfered to join Fusion on Turalyon. I decided to head over to Anvilmar to find some old friends.
Why:
I love endgame raiding and nothing is more fun than wrangling 25 people into completing an encounter. I also hear Shidoh has never died and that's pretty sweet.
We don't expect you to write us a novel, but remember, this is how you make your first impression with the guild. Putting a little bit of time into the application will go a long way.

Once you've been accepted, there are a few things you need to take care of:
First, contact any of the following Officers/Advisors for a /ginvite:
Tank Officer/GM: Risto
Physical DPS Officer: Superbowser, Dayin
Caster DPS Officer: Skrillex, Samanthä
Healing Officer: Torď, Kasdeja
These are also the folks that will be paying close attention to your performance during your time as a trial. Always feel free to ask for their feedback, opinions, and advice.
Second, speak to an officer/advisor about being given member permissions for the forums. This is important for keeping up on guild current events, reading strategies and letting us know when you will be late or miss a raid.
Third, speak to an officer/advisor about having a Vent account created.
