To make our benchmarks more accurate for people who want to raid with us or the hand clan, Shidoh brought up the idea of going back and getting pre-naxx gear and then benchmarking ourselves with that gear to get an idea of what to expect out of someone who actually knows how to play their class/spec without the classic excuse of, "Well, I'd pull better numbers if I had better gear."
With that in mind, I think it's kind of dumb to actually get all the gear ourselves when we can just as easily look up what pre-naxx gear consists of (heroics, emblem gear, and rep stuff) and then simply remove or downgrade pieces of equipment until you're about at the same stat level (of course physical dps is the exception as weapon damage actually becomes an issue so grabbing level appropriate weapons would probably actually matter).
ANYHOW. This thread is going to keep track of the people who actually want to play along and benchmark what pre-naxx level dps should consist of for specific classes and specs as well as those numbers in question.
